The 2012 Grand Cherokee is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in 7 trims, ranging from the Laredo 4X2 to the SRT8 4X4.

Upon introduction, the Laredo 4X2 is equipped with a standard 3.6-liter, V6, 290-horsepower, flexible fuel engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 23-mpg on the highway. The SRT8 4X4 is equipped with a standard 6.4-liter, V8, 465-horsepower engine that achieves 12-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.

The 2012 Grand Cherokee is a carryover from 2011.
