By entering into the tablet PC
market, the competitive landscape is little changed. HP remains
entrenched at the top with the product distribution of 18.7 million
units or 17.7 percent over market share. Acer followed with 13.6 million units or 12.8 percent market share.
Apple
jumped into third position in the market, thanks to sales of IPAD and
Mac are very high, including high growth in the Asia Pacific region.
Total sales of IPAD and Mac reached 11.5 million or 10.8 percent market
share. The highest market growth up to 241 per cent well above the
average growth of the PC market.
Dell down in fourth position with 11.4 million units, slightly below Apple, with the same market share of about 10.8 percent. Next Lenovo
with 9.6 million units or 9.1 percent market share. The market share of
other products is still quite high which is 38.8 percent market share
with 41.1 million units of PCs.
